Corpdata offers financial
risk data
B2B data list owner Corpdata can now fine-tune its marketing data using financial risk information. For a small premium, the company’s list service will focus on organisations who are feeling the financial pinch, and therefore may be more receptive to a new approach, or omit any potentially risky customers altogether from your campaign. |

Yahoo's chief executive
leaves company
On 20th November Yahoo boss Jerry Yang announced his decision to step down as the company's chief executive.
It had been widely predicted that Yang's tenure was drawing to a close, particularly following severe criticism over his handling of a $44bn takeover bid from Microsoft earlier this year. Among those fiercexly critical of the approach was corporate raider Carl Icahn, who threatened a hostile takeover of the Yahoo board.
Yang founded Yahoo with Stanford friend David Filo in 1994.

USB3.0 details confirmed
The next generation of USB could be with us by Christmas 2009, according to an announcement at a recent Windows Hardware Engineering Conference. The new computer plug standard will be able to transfer at blisteringly fast speeds of 5Gbps per second – that’s an average sized movie or eight average sized music albums EVERY SECOND. For comparison, that’s about ten times faster than USB2.0. It will almost certainly be supported by Windows Vista, but it’s not yet clear if XP users will get the same opportunity.

Pleo the dino pet

Visit firebox.com for more information.
|
|
Everybody knows pets don’t make good Christmas presents – unless they’re robotic! Unlike other robotic toys, Pleo has no remote control – you simply leave him to explore his environment and interact with it, and you. He starts life as a hatchling and develops his personality, habits and moods based on the time he spends with you, acting scared and surprised to begin with, then more playful and lively, though he’ll look forlorn if you ignore him. Dogs bite, cats scratch, but Pleo’s a friend for life (or until his battery runs out).
