Kingpin Newsletter // ISSUE 2 // MARCH 2007

Welcome to the second edition of Kingpin IT Marketing news.

Thanks for all of your positive feedback on last month's issue, it was great to see it so well received. Seems like the humour section was a real favourite. Haven’t you got any work to do?

We do welcome your input with open arms, so get in touch if you've got something to tell the industry. If you have copy that you require being displayed in a particular way please state this at submission stage.

This isn't news per se, but those guys at Google have a regular blog - click here to view. It may well be biased because of who is publishing the information, but there's some good stuff on there and helpful hints for those interested in the PPC and search market.

Media Whispers
A new marketing report published by BIG-Research confirms what a number of earlier studies had already found. Increasingly, Americans are consuming media in large quantites, not specifically concentrating on any one medium at a single time.

BIG-Research's survey of about 15,000 consumers revealed that 67.9 percent of them use other media while watching television, 69.2 percent while reading newspapers and then 70.8 percent while surfing the Internet. See more

Kingpin Intelligence is just about to publish an in-depth report into the media consumption habits of UK IT Professionals.

Through over 400 in-depth interviews the report will reveal invaluable insight into their communication preferences - from traditional sources to RSS and Blogs. It's essential reading for any marketing managers targeting this segment.

Lovely Bubbly

Ah bubble wrap, one of life's little gems. I was simply over joyed when, on opening the oversized packaging for my new new flat screen, I was to find acres of bubble wrap which was just as exciting as seeing the full HD splendour of Gears of War on my Xbox360. Click here to experience the joy of bubble wrap again and again.
