Quiz night raises £12,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital

Kingpin’s Charity Quiz Night was yet again a roaring success raising almost £12,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital!

We’d like to thank all of you that supported the evening, whether it was as a company or an individual. A big thanks to Tiger Tiger for providing such an excellent venue as well as all the quiz teams and sponsors that made the night what it was.

Rhetorik releases research report

Earlier this month Rhetorik announced the publication of its latest research report, "Marketing to IT and Telecoms Decision-Makers".

As part of an ongoing research programme, Rhetorik surveys the market every two years to explore and trend the changing perceptions and preferences of ICT decision makers on the marketing and communications methods and media used by their suppliers. The research is undertaken using Rhetorik’s NetPanel, a unique online research panel of about 1,950 senior IT and telecoms decision-makers representative of all types of organisation throughout the UK.

Should Google be looking over its shoulders?

Microsoft's Bing search engine is making inroads into Google's dominance of the search market according to data from US net measurement firm ComScore.
Its latest figures show Microsoft's share of the search market has grown from 8.9% in July to 9.3% in August.

The news saw Microsoft's shares rise while Google's dipped slightly.

Search for profit prompts Twitter advertising U-turn

Twitter has opened the door for advertisers to target its millions of users for the first time as it desperately looks to find a way of making money from the "micro-blogging" phenomenon.

The move marks a softening of attitude at the website, which has 45 million users. The site has overtaken MySpace in the UK but has yet to find a business model to bring in consistent revenues.
